Judi Lewis Ockler is a physical comedienne, stunt performer, whimsical theater producer and director of dangerous things. 

As an actor, she has several regional and New York credits, including the title roles in Peter Pan, Sylvia, and Barefoot in the Park. Her work as a stunt performer has put her on dozens of film and TV sets, including 30 Rock, Boardwalk Empire, Gotham, The Wolf of Wall St, Enchanted, and Across the Universe. 

She is a professional fight and intimacy director, working primarily in NYC theater and in academia. Her specialty, experience and training make her uniquely capable of facilitating stories both intimate and violent.

She currently teaches Stage Combat, Clown, and Intimacy in Performance at NYU Tisch, The American Musical and Dramatic Academy, HB Studios, National Theater Institute and Sarah Lawrence College.

She is an original member of Kendall Cornell’s Clowns Ex Machina, a critically acclaimed, all woman clown troupe performing in New York City since 2005, creating special commissioned pieces for Cirque Du Soliel & La Mama Etc. 

Judi has over 15 years experience as a special events entertainer and producer, working with Marla Mase and Party Poopers!  Her show  The Pirate Circus! with fellow buccaneer David Engel was named 'best pirate party in Manhattan' by New Yorker magazine. 

Judi is the creator and producer of Rock n’ Roll Mother Goose!  which premiered at the Midtown International Theater Festival NYC in 2015, and enjoyed an encore run at MITF spring 2016.  A new, rockin’ version of the show premiered at the New York Clown Theatre Festival. The show continues to tour the tri-state area and beyond.

She has an amazing partner, terrific kid, loyal pup, and a garden that bring her joy and fulfillment on a regular basis.
